Mirror housings & exterior trim - reproduction & small batches
Exterior plastics fight sun, heat cycles and car washes for decades, and the losers are mirror housings, trim ends and small outside mouldings that manufacturers dropped early. Outdoor duty makes material choice the core decision: the wrong polymer chalks and warps within a couple of summers. We reproduce exterior components in UV-stable materials with paintable surfaces, faithful to the original geometry. One firm line: we never reproduce badges, emblems or any trademarked graphics.
How we make them
Sample-based geometry, UV-stable engineering polymers, surfaces prepared for paint where the original was body-coloured. Fixing points reinforced where the originals cracked.

Will an outdoor reproduction fade like the original did?
We specify UV-stabilised materials precisely to avoid that; combined with paint where appropriate, the reproduction is better protected than the 1980s plastic it replaces.
Which process will you use?
Whichever suits the part: MJF nylon for tough functional plastics, high-detail resin for fine features, CNC for metal or high-load parts, vacuum casting for small series.
