115 820 05 92 is the knob of the hazard warning light switch on Mercedes-Benz cars of the late 1960s and 1970s, catalogued for the W114/W115 saloons and coupés, the W111 280 SE 3.5 coupé and cabriolet and the W100 600. Mercedes no longer supplies the knob on its own, and classic parts dealers list it as no longer available, so a broken knob currently means fitting a complete replacement switch. Replique labs reverse-engineers the knob from an original and makes new ones to the original shape and colour, to fit your existing switch.
How we reproduce it
- 01
Reverse-engineer
We rebuild geometry from your original - broken samples are fine.
- 02
Design & improve
Weak features get thicker walls, ribs and fillets in CAD.
- 03
Manufacture
Produced in the right process and material for how the part is used.
What to send for a quote
- •Multi-angle photos, including both mating faces
- •Rough dimensions in mm (calipers or ruler)
- •The part number if visible

- •Quantity required
- •Deadline, if any
- •Tell us the quantity you need - we will confirm whether the part is viable as a single piece or requires a minimum batch.
Frequently asked questions
Is it the complete switch?
No - the knob only. It fits onto your existing hazard warning switch.
Does it fit my car?
It replaces knob 115 820 05 92 as catalogued for the W114/W115, the W111 280 SE 3.5 and the W100 600. If your switch looks different or you are not sure, send us a photo before ordering.
How do I order?
Request a quote with the quantity you need. We confirm the price and lead time, and workshops can order in batches.
Which process will you use?
Whichever suits the part: MJF nylon for tough functional plastics, high-detail resin for fine features, CNC for metal or high-load parts, vacuum casting for small series.
Can you produce a single piece, or only series?
It depends on the part, and we are upfront about it. Many components are viable as a single piece and we quote them that way. Others carry engineering, tooling or machine set-up costs that only make sense across a minimum quantity - where that applies we say so at quote stage, with the numbers, so you can decide before committing.
What are typical lead times?
Most plastic reproductions ship within 2-4 weeks of quote approval, depending on complexity and finish.
Will it survive heat near the engine?
We select temperature-rated materials for under-bonnet locations and say clearly what the chosen material tolerates.
Will the colour and finish match my interior?
We match sheen and texture as closely as the process allows, and confirm finish options in the quote.
Do you supply the CAD files?
File ownership is agreed per project - tell us in the RFQ if you need the model as a deliverable.
