944.564.535.00 is the cam - Porsche calls it a lever - in the electric sunroof mechanism of the later transaxle cars: the 924 S from 1987.5, the 944 and 944 Turbo from 1986.5, and the 968. When the original plastic cam wears or breaks, the sunroof stops working properly, and Porsche no longer supplies the part. We make a new cam in tough, low-friction engineering nylon as a direct replacement.

Does it fit early 944s?
No - early cars built before 1986.5 use a different sunroof drive. This cam fits the 924 S from 1987.5, the 944 and 944 Turbo from 1986.5, and the 968.

How does pricing work for a single part versus a series?

Yes - thicker walls, ribs, fillets and better material choices are standard where the original was weak.
What if my part number is superseded?
Send the number you have; we trace the family and confirm the correct geometry from your photos.
Can you work from a broken or incomplete part?
Yes - fractures, missing tabs and warped areas are normal. We reconstruct geometry from the remaining features, the mating part and symmetry.
There's no CAD or drawing for this part. Is that a problem?
No. Most of what we make has no surviving documentation; we rebuild the model from your sample and photos.
