A 124 698 03 30 is the cover that closes the jacking point opening in the plastic side cladding of the Mercedes W124 - saloon, estate, coupé and cabriolet - from the September 1989 facelift onwards. There are four on each car, and they are easily lost or broken when the car is jacked up. Mercedes no longer supplies the part. We make a new cover in tough engineering nylon, supplied unpainted and ready to paint to match your cladding.

Frequently asked questions
Does it fit my W124?
It fits W124 saloons, estates, coupés and cabriolets with the plastic side cladding introduced with the 1989 facelift. The 500 E / E 500 uses a different cover. If in doubt, send us a photo of your side skirt before ordering.
Is the cover painted?
No - it is supplied unpainted, ready for primer and the colour of your side cladding.
How many do I need?
A W124 has four jacking points, two on each side. The price is per cover, and the volume discount applies when you order several.
How long does it take to ship?
Each part is made to order and dispatched within 10-15 working days of your order.
Can you improve the original design?
Yes - thicker walls, ribs, fillets and better material choices are standard where the original was weak.
What if my part number is superseded?
Send the number you have; we trace the family and confirm the correct geometry from your photos.
Can you work from a broken or incomplete part?
Yes - fractures, missing tabs and warped areas are normal. We reconstruct geometry from the remaining features, the mating part and symmetry.
There's no CAD or drawing for this part. Is that a problem?
No. Most of what we make has no surviving documentation; we rebuild the model from your sample and photos.
How accurate is the reproduction?
We hold the tolerances that matter for fit and function - mating faces, clip engagement, hole positions - and verify dimensions before shipping.
Which process will you use?
Whichever suits the part: MJF nylon for tough functional plastics, high-detail resin for fine features, CNC for metal or high-load parts, vacuum casting for small series.
